For many years, God has reached out with His love, touching my heart and soul with a timely message through inspirational poems written by Mike Manahan. About the Author, Mike Manahan
Mike and his wife, Faith, attend Lifepoint Church where they have enjoyed fellowship for the past several years. The messages in his journaling represent flashes of wisdom and insight that span over decades. His love for writing has been inspired by everything from notes from pastors' sermons, to something that a football commentator might say, to things the Lord speaks to him while driving or to thinking about the Lord and how God wants to be a part of everything in our lives.
My Testimony
I have been a Christian since 1977 when I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Since then, it has been a journey of joy, knowing that the Lord is on my side in every situation. I have been through many trials but in every one, I know that the Lord has had my back, protecting me and delivering me from the evil one. I began writing christian poetry in 1981 and have not stopped as it has given much understanding and comfort to those who have read and myself and continues to be an inspiration to many with whom it is shared. I thank God for the gift of writing and for the fruit that will endure till the end.

Why I Write
Most of us are attempting to lead a life that is pleasing to God. We all, however, struggle with something in our lives in which we need help. The poems I write lend themselves to seeking out the places in us that the Lord wants to co-labor with us to change. The poems have a variety of themes, but one main goal is that we need to be more like the Lord. As Paul, the apostle said, follow me as I follow Christ, and in another place in the scriptures, to imitate Christ. This is the main goal in my life and I hope that the poems I write, will help you do the same and enjoy the ride.
